Failed to Update Firmware / Ice Light 3 Will Not Turn OnUpdated 15 hours ago
If a connection error occurs during the firmware update process and the Ice Light 3 becomes unresponsive, you may find that the unit will not turn back on.
To restart the firmware update process, follow the steps below:
- Close and reopen the Westcott Studio Link app.
- Select LED controls.
- While pressing and holding the center button, turn the Ice Light 3 on. The Ice Light 3 Screen should display "Update Firmware via Mobile APP" and your current firmware version.
- When the device name transitions from gray to white inside the Studio Link app, the Ice Light 3 has reconnected.
- Once connected, touch the Firmware tab in the bottom right of the Studio Link App.
- Swipe down to refresh the screen if nothing automatically displays; an IL3 listing should display under Paired Devices.
- Select the most current firmware version to update the Ice Light 3 Firmware.
- After the firmware update is complete, the Ice Light 3 will restart itself and reconnect to the Studio Link app.
