- Turn the silent shutter off when required by your camera.
- Turn the electronic front curtain shutter off if your camera setup allows for it.
- Turn Wireless Flash mode off on Sony-specific camera setups.
- Turn red-eye reduction off to help prevent flash timing issues.
Wireless Control
How do I change flash power and groups on the FJ-T1 touchscreen?
You can change FJ-T1 group power from the home screen or an individual group screen with touch controls or the digital crown.
The FJ-T1 touchscreen flash groups are designed for fast FJ Wireless multi-light control, letting you move between groups and make power changes without digging through deep menus.
From the home screen
- From the home screen, swipe up from the middle of the screen to view additional groups.
- Tap the power number in the middle of a group to select it.
- Turn the digital crown to fine-tune the selected group power.
From the Groups Individual Control Screen
- Tap a group letter to open that group’s individual control screen.
- On the group screen, adjust power with the plus and minus buttons, the digital crown, or by swiping up or down on the power value.
- Swipe up or down on the group letter to move between groups.
- Quick-press the power button to return to the home screen.
Does the FJ-T1 support TTL, Manual, Sleep, and High-Speed Sync?
Yes, the FJ-T1 supports Manual, TTL, Sleep, front curtain, rear curtain, and high-speed sync for compatible FJ Wireless setups.
- For FJ-T1 TTL Manual mode control, tap the group’s mode button on the screen to cycle between Manual, Sleep, and TTL.
- For FJ-T1 high-speed sync and other FJ Wireless sync settings, tap the sync button to cycle between front curtain, rear curtain, and High-Speed Sync.
- Tap the power number or group letter for the group you want to adjust.
- Tap Mode to choose Manual, Sleep, or TTL.
- Tap Sync to choose front curtain, rear curtain, or High-Speed Sync.
- Swipe left along the bottom of the group screen to access additional group settings.
How do I control the modeling lamp, beep, and zoom on the FJ-T1?
The FJ-T1 can adjust modeling lamp output, modeling lamp color temperature, audible beep, and speedlight zoom from each group screen.

Modeling Lamp - Power and Color
- Touch the group letter to enter the group’s individual control screen.
- At the bottom, swipe right to left to reveal the modeling lamp button.
- Tap the modeling lamp button to open the output screen.
- Use the plus and minus buttons or digital crown to choose Off, Auto, or a power level from 1 through 9.
- Swipe right to left in the middle of the screen from the modeling lamp output screen to adjust the modeling lamp color temperature.
- Tap the return button to go back to the group screen.
- Touch the group letter to enter the group’s individual control screen.
- At the bottom, swipe right to left to reveal the audible beep (music note) button.
- Tap the audible beep button to toggle the beep on or off for compatible FJ lights.
- Tap the return button to go back to the group screen.
Zoom
- Touch the group letter to enter the group’s individual control screen.
- At the bottom, swipe right to left to reveal the zoom button.
- Tap the zoom button to open speedlight zoom control, then use the plus and minus buttons or digital crown to set the desired zoom.
- Tap the return button to go back to the group screen.
Display and Menu Settings
How do I lock the FJ-T1 screen, use standby, and adjust the settings menu?
Use the FJ-T1 settings menu to lock the touchscreen, enable standby, choose channels, and adjust display or system preferences.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the FJ-T1 settings menu. From there, you can manage lock FJ-T1 touchscreen controls, the FJ-T1 standby setting, channel selection, display style, TTL-to-Manual conversion, auto off, screen brightness, Freeze mode, language, radio power, and factory reset.
- Channel: (CH), use the plus and minus buttons or digital crown to select the desired channel.
- Screen Lock: (🔒), select On, and return to the home screen. Double-press the power button to unlock.
- Standby: (STDY), select On, and tap anywhere on the screen to wake the trigger.
- Camera: Choose the camera manufacturer type you are using.
- Display: Use Display to switch power output display between fraction and decimal views.
- TTL to Manual: Select the FJ Wireless flash you want to convert from the last TTL result to a manual value. (Only available in group A)
- Auto Off: Select how many minutes of inactivity until the unit automatically powers off
- Sleep: Select how many minutes of inactivity until the display turns off.
- Freeze: Enable or disable Freeze sync for faster flash durations.
- Language: Select your preferred language.
- Power: Select the signal power output that the T1 trigger transmits (NOR is recommended in most situations.)
- Factory Reset: Resets unit to factory defaults. Use as needed. (Does not revert firmware version)
